Transportation is the most frequently reported problem for people with disabilities. While some people with disabilities have difficulty with limited or no public transportation systems, others have trouble with inaccessible infrastructures and systems. In addition, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) often have trouble with many of the skills that navigating transportation requires. Accessible transportation is crucial for independent living and community access and integration for people living with disabilities. People with disabilities often look to family and friends to assist with transportation, but this may not always be possible. Our transportation services can help you stay connected to essential services and other activities.
We provide, non-emergency transportation for individuals 21 years and above with disabilities who want to travel to their destination safely and in a timely manner and who are unable to use the local bus service according to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Our Transportation services enable individuals with disabilities to gain access to services, activities and resources, as specified by the Service Plan.

TYPE OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES OFFERED
Agency Transportation Programs: this is agency’s owned transportation vehicles arranged for individuals with disabilities to reach medical appointments or other important destinations. One or multiple passengers are picked up from different entry points and dropped off at same or separate destinations. Rides are generally prearranged and often requires reservations to be made at least 24–48 hours in advance.
Shared Ride Services (also known as Transportation Network Companies or TNCs): this includes Uber and Lyft ride to appointments and other important destination. The connect individual(s) with private with drivers who provide transportation in their own vehicles. These services do not typically offer wheelchair accessible vehicles or rider assistance. Passengers are connected with drivers by the agency via websites or scheduling phone line. Rides are also generally prearranged and often requires reservations to be made at least 24–48 hours in advance.
